DrugCritics.com FAQ
What does it take to be a critic?
In order to be a Drug Critic, you must have tried one of the featured drugs at DrugCritics.com. You must also share your experiences and knowledge at DrugCritics.com by creating a Review or Experience for a drug.
Why we call them "Drug Critics"?
We call them Drug Critics because they rate and review the drugs they have used. Just like a food critic writes reviews about their experiences at restaurants, a Drug Critic shares his or her personal experiences with drugs. Plus, becoming a Drug Critic is completely ANONYMOUS. We will never ask for any person information that will allow another site visitor to identify you!
What are the "Featured Drugs"?
The "Featured Drugs" are the drugs that can be reviewed at DrugCritics.com. These are the drugs that are commonly used in our society for various reasons from medicinal use to recreational use. More importantly, valuable information about these drugs can be obtained by listening to those who have used them. DrugCritics.com believes that the information provided by drug users is critical to drug education. See the featured drugs here.
What should I consider when rating a drug?
When rating a drug you are expected to only draw from your own personal experience with that drug. Drugs affect everyone differently and we are interested in how they affect each person on an individual basis.
How should I write a drug experience?
Drug experiences are a chance for users to give a more detailed account of their drug use. Good experiences to write about include first-time uses of drugs, memorable drug using experiences, struggles with addiction, and any other experience that may seem valuable to a potential user. Readers should be able to get an idea of what its like to use a drug by reading your experiences.
Why are Experiences important?
Experiences give drug users an opportunity to share a real life experience using drugs. These Experiences are meant to help reader's gain some insight into what using a drug is actually like. While the Reviews paint a general picture about each drug, the Experiences offer detailed accounts of drug use. Any experience is worth sharing and can help someone form a clearer picture of using drugs before they decide to use themselves. Remember: Experiences are meant to aid people in their search for information based on actual personal experiences.
Why should I rely on random people for information about drug use?
Drug users are the most qualified people to tell you what it is like to use drugs. This website is not meant to teach you moral values, it is meant to give you real information about drug use. While it may be a good idea to not use drugs like heroin or cocaine, its even better to have real information backing up that decision.
Should I base my decision to use drugs completely on the views of users on this website?
ABSOLUTELY NOT. Everyone should think about their own personal beliefs and values before they use a drug. Even if the users on this website persuade you to use or not use a drug, you should consult friends, family, and your own conscience before trying any drug. DrugCritics.com is a tool for people to access information about the effects of using drugs - it is not intended to make a decision about using drugs for you.
Is DrugCritics.com “for” or “against” drug use?
Neither. We believe in the freedom of choice and education. We strongly oppose drug education that has political or organizational ties. Everyone should be able to decide if a particular drug is good or bad for them based on facts. We believe the people who have used drugs can offer the valuable information on drug use.
DrugCritics.com does not promote any type of drug use and we strongly encourage anyone with drug abuse or addiction problems to seek help immediately.
